- My kidney function is not normal.You have had a problem with drinking too much alcohol or using drugs in the past two years.I cannot take certain painkillers due to allergies or side effects.You have a device called a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implanted in your heart.I have an active liver condition.You are allergic to eggs or soy products.I am scheduled for weight loss surgery using a minimally invasive method.I have been using opioids daily for pain management for a year.
- Group 1: Opioid Anesthesia Group
- Group 2: Opioid Free Anesthesia Group
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Drug Has Already Been Approved - The FDA has already approved this drug, and is just seeking more data.
- Pivotal Trial - The final step before approval, pivotal trials feature drugs that have already shown basic safety & efficacy.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
