Study Summary

This trial is studying how well BBR 3464 works in treating patients with pancreatic cancer.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults with pancreatic cancer that's advanced or spread and can't be operated on. They should have not received treatment before, have at least one measurable tumor (not in previously treated areas), and be generally well enough to perform daily activities without help. People with certain blood conditions, recent heart attacks, uncontrolled heart disease, serious illnesses including infections, a history of severe diarrhea disorders like Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those not using effective contraception are excluded.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing the effectiveness of a chemotherapy drug called BBR 3464 in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot undergo surgery. It's a Phase II trial which means it focuses on how well the drug works and further evaluates its safety.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
While specific side effects for BBR 3464 aren't listed here, common side effects from chemotherapy drugs include nausea and vomiting, fatigue, increased risk of infection due to low blood cell counts, hair loss, mouth sores and diarrhea.
