- Your score on the GAD-7 questionnaire is 10 or higher.I am between 18 and 35 years old.I am willing to undergo experimental electrical stimulation.You have sensitive skin that reacts to soaps, creams, perfumes, or heat.I regularly use medication or remedies for pain relief.You are allergic to capsaicin or spicy peppers.I have poor blood flow in the area where I feel pain.Your resting heart rate is below 50 or above 100 beats per minute.I have a long-term health condition like heart, lung, mental health, or diabetes.I have had balance issues, felt dizzy, or fallen more than once in the past year.You have any implanted electronic medical devices, such as pacemakers or neurostimulators.I have skin issues in the area where my pain is worst.My MoCA score is less than 23.Your blood pressure is too low (less than 90/60) or too high (more than 140/95).I have had a serious head injury or more than two concussions.I have been experiencing pain anywhere in my body for the last year.Your scores on the PHQ-2 and PHQ-9 questionnaires are higher than a certain number.I am taking four or more medications.I have weakness or numbness in my legs or the area to be treated.I have a mental health or cognitive condition, such as ADD/ADHD, severe anxiety, or autism.
- Group 1: Pain Stimulus - Learning Only
- Group 2: Pain Stimulus - Learning and Retention
- Group 3: No Stimulus
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
