- You have an allergy to astaxanthin or other similar substances like zeaxanthin, lutein, or lycopene.You cannot take any carotenoid supplements for at least 1 month before joining the study.You currently smoke tobacco or have smoked for more than 10 years.You started taking tocopherol (a type of vitamin E) within the past 4 weeks.You are not willing to avoid eating foods like shrimp, salmon, mangos, carrots, and tomatoes during the study.
- Group 1: Placebo
- Group 2: Astaxanthin
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
