Study Summary

This trial will test how different proteins impact the absorption and health benefits of blueberries, and if the gut microbiome plays a role.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for healthy adults over 18 who have normal levels of blood sugar, cholesterol, and hemoglobin. It's not for those with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, cancer or other major health issues. Pregnant women or those trying to become pregnant can't join. Participants must not be on certain medications or have a history of heavy drinking or smoking.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
Researchers are testing how blueberries combined with different proteins (pea, hemp, whey) affect the body's absorption of blueberry nutrients and overall cardiometabolic health. They're looking at how these combinations influence gut bacteria and urine markers related to heart health.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this study involves common foods like blueberries and protein supplements from pea, hemp, and whey sources; significant side effects are unlikely but could include digestive discomfort depending on individual food sensitivities.
