This trial is evaluating whether Blueberry Powder will improve 9 primary outcomes and 1 secondary outcome in patients with Infant Development. Measurement will happen over the course of Over 7 months.
This trial requires 152 total participants across 2 different treatment groups
This trial involves 2 different treatments. Blueberry Powder is the primary treatment being studied. Participants will all receive the same treatment. Some patients will receive a placebo treatment. The treatments being tested are not being studied for commercial purposes.
"Given our hypothesis, one could conclude that many of the factors that influence infant development likely relate to the child's temperament as well as to environmental factors." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"Signs of infant development include sleeping problems, a high fussiness score, lethargy, and poor appetite. These signs can alert a parent to address an infant's developmental needs." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"About 20 million children in the United States do not meet the diagnostic criteria for developmental delay or speech delay. The rate of development delay in the United States is much higher than that in many developed countries." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"Developmental milestones are often a major concern for the mothers and caregivers of infants. Intervention is a critical component of child development care, usually provided by pediatricians. The treatment program for each child should be customized to meet the individual's developmental needs." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"Infants in the first year of life display the beginnings of behaviors that enable them to engage in the world around them. These behaviors include attention, alertness, arousal, and social play. Early-onset infant behavior should not be confused with the development of infants' self-regulation skills." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"The developmental results of our modified surgery are in the same range as those from classic circumcision. Our [noninfection technique is a simple, safe, and non-invasive method that improves the psychosocial and economic development of circumcised boys] is suitable for the vast majority of newborns, especially if they are of low birthweight, in whom other procedures would be too risky." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"Data from a recent study found that infants fed both a standard-dose and a high-dose of E.R.X. were able to consume both powders at an equivalent rate and with the same efficiency. This information can help practitioners adjust the powder dosing for optimal use and cost savings. The authors also found that infants who received the standard-dose E.R.X. were more likely to have lower serum creatinine levels than those given the high-dose E.R.X.; but not any other adverse effects. Data from a recent study are encouraging in that they confirm that the use of blueberry supplements in infants during infancy can have the capacity to reduce the risk of chronic health problems later in infancy." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"Blueberry powder (3 g/d) and high doses of BIA may also produce adverse effects, including gastrointestinal mucosal irritation and diarrhea. The adverse effects of blueberry powder on the gastrointestinal tract appear to be dose and frequency dependent. In a recent study, findings may be important and inform the consumer of side effects with the use of blueberry powder (3 g/d) for human use." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"There is a direct relationship between breastfeeding and infant development and that the latter is more intense when the mothers are able to breastfeed in a healthy environment and are able to follow a healthy lifestyle. Breastmilk supplements did not have a negative impact, but more studies are needed to compare the differences between them and breastfeeding. Breastfeeding does not prevent the development of infantile or childhood diseases such as diarrhea, allergies, constipation, asthma, obesity or obesity, or hyperactivity and aggression. So we need a healthy lifestyle and a healthy environment to obtain a well developed child's personality." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"We found that an intervention using fresh juice, juice powder, or juice powder with infant formula or milk had no positive effect on the quality of life of infants with infant development who experienced an adverse event." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"None was found in a systematic literature search. Further, no peer-reviewed research has been done on blueberry's use in any form. The lack of evidence indicates that blueberry's claim of effectiveness has no scientific basis. There is no evidence that supports the efficacy of blueberry as a treatment or medicine." - Anonymous Online Contributor
"The degree of motor dysfunction in infants with CDD may be associated with the degree of intellectual impairment, but the correlations are difficult to interpret. The infants may be behaving in ways that appear normal although internal emotional states could be affected. The motor phenotype may be better understood based on qualitative rather than quantitative measures; qualitative measures should be used to describe the most clinically significant changes." - Anonymous Online Contributor
