Study Summary

This trial will examine the effects of dietary protein (pea vs. egg white) on the gut, including nutrient absorption, waste production, immunity, and gut health.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for healthy individuals with a BMI of 18-29.9, who haven't used probiotics or antibiotics in the last month. It's not for vegans or those avoiding eggs, pregnant women, or people with diabetes, kidney/liver/heart diseases, malnutrition, GI issues like IBS/IBD or mental illnesses.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study examines how different protein sources affect gut health. Participants will follow a very low protein diet supplemented by either pea protein or egg white protein to see effects on gut bacteria metabolism and overall gastrointestinal function.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves dietary changes with common foods (pea and egg white proteins), significant side effects are unlikely but may include minor gastrointestinal discomfort as the body adjusts to new protein sources.
