What is being tested?
The study tests the effects of California freeze-dried whole grape powder on factors related to chronic disease and heart health in 30 adults. It looks at blood sugar levels, cholesterol types (like LDL & HDL), inflammation markers (hs-CRP & TNF-alpha), body composition changes, hunger/satiety feelings and blood pressure over an eight-week period.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves consuming grape powder as a dietary supplement in apparently healthy individuals without known sensitivities to grapes or their products, minimal side effects are expected. However specific side effect information isn't provided.
