This trial is looking at whether giving a steroid called dexamethasone to pregnant women with a history of opioid use disorder who are on medication assisted treatment improves their pain scores and decreases their opioid use after having a cesarean section.

- I do not speak English.I haven't taken any drugs that would show up on a toxicology screen before my C-section, and I haven't been given betamethasone for the baby's lungs within 24 hours of my scheduled C-section.I have a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, or stomach ulcers.I am scheduled for a C-section for my current pregnancy.I need general anesthesia for my C-section due to unexpected complications.I do not have untreated infections like TB or systemic candida.
