What is being tested?
The study tests Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to see if it helps with athletes' mood disorders, emotional regulation, sports-related stress, performance satisfaction, and overall well-being. It also looks at how easy it is to recruit and keep participants.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since EFT is a type of talk therapy focusing on emotions, significant side effects aren't expected. However, discussing difficult emotions may sometimes cause discomfort or emotional distress.
