Study Summary
This trial looks at ways to reduce food insecurity among people receiving cancer treatment, which is linked to poor health outcomes & worse treatment results. Researchers will test evidence-based strategies such as clinic referrals, grocery vouchers, & no-prep meals.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 who are patients at the Simmons Cancer Center and have been identified as having food or nutrition insecurity. They must understand and agree to participate in the study, with no allergies or digestive diseases that could be worsened by the study foods.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The FOOD program is testing different strategies to help cancer patients facing food insecurity: referrals to clinic pantries, monthly grocery vouchers, home grocery delivery, and providing nutritious no-prep meals. The goal is to see which method best improves health outcomes.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
There may not be direct side effects from participating in this trial since it involves nutritional support rather than medical treatment. However, participants should report any adverse reactions due to potential food allergies.

Are there any open slots for participants in this experiment?
"Clinicaltrials.gov displays that this research is not actively recruiting subjects at the moment, having been initially published on August 1st 2024 and last edited November 26th 2023. Despite this, there are still 660 other clinical trials currently looking for volunteers to join their experimentations."
