Study Summary

This trial will compare the physiological & emotional effects of an AR simulation to a traditional mannequin-based simulation. 200 participants will be split into two groups.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for healthcare workers at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and affiliated facilities who interact with patients daily, such as nurses, physician assistants, physicians, and trainees.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study compares the effects of an augmented reality (AR) simulation to a traditional mannequin-based in-person simulation for medical crisis scenarios. It's a randomized controlled trial aiming to enroll 200 participants.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves AR technology rather than medication or invasive procedures, side effects may include discomfort from wearing the headset or emotional responses to the simulated crisis scenario.
