Who is the study for?
This trial is for young adults aged 18-30 who use social media for over an hour daily and are willing to quit all social media for one week. It's not suitable for those without any social media usage, or with ADHD, other attention disorders, or a recent concussion.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests if staying off social media for a week improves focus and well-being. Participants' attention will be measured using the Sustained Attention to Response Task and executive function by the Stroop test before and after the abstention period.See study design

There are no direct medical side effects from participating in this trial as it involves behavior change rather than medication. However, participants may experience changes in mood or anxiety due to temporary disconnection from their usual digital interactions.
