Study Summary

This trial aims to develop a culturally adapted mobile app to help Black cannabis users with CUD. The app will be tested and data collected for analysis.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for Black adults with cannabis use disorder who want to manage anxiety or stress through cannabis use. Participants must be at least 18, speak English fluently, and have a motivation to reduce their cannabis consumption. They should not be in any legal substance misuse treatment or other psychotherapy for CUD, anxiety, or depression.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests a new mobile app called CT-MICART designed specifically for Black individuals with CUD. It compares the effectiveness of this culturally tailored app against a control group without the intervention. The aim is to develop and assess the app's impact on managing cannabis use.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves using an app rather than medication, traditional side effects are not expected. However, participants may experience discomfort or emotional distress when addressing their cannabis use habits.
