GLIN#3 Trial Summary

This trial is trying to understand how different foods affect blood sugar levels. Participants will come to the study visit on an empty stomach and will be given either a regular food or a special food to eat.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for individuals who are interested in how different nutritional products affect blood sugar levels. Participants will need to fast before consuming the test product and provide blood samples over a two-hour period.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing various 'concept' and 'reference' nutritional products to see how they influence glycemic responses. Subjects will consume one serving of either a reference or test product, followed by regular blood sampling.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves consumption of nutritional products, side effects may include digestive discomfort or allergic reactions if participants have sensitivities to ingredients in the products.

Study Objectives

Outcome measures can provide a clearer picture of what you can expect from a treatment.
Primary outcome measures
The glycemic index of nutritional products
Secondary outcome measures
1. The postprandial glucose levels at each time point after each test product compared with the mean of the 3 references
2. The postprandial incremental area under the curve (iAUC) after each test product compared with the mean of the 3 references
