Who is the study for?
This trial is for rural Veterans who have both an anxiety disorder and a substance use disorder but are not currently experiencing severe withdrawal or acute suicidality, and do not have current delusions or hallucinations.Check my eligibility

Group I: VA CALM-SExperimental Treatment1 Intervention
Active psychotherapy using VA CALM-S, a weekly (9-12 sessions) cognitive behavioral therapy addressing co-occurring anxiety and substance use disorders, using disorder specific and transdiagnostic tools.
Group II: Usual CareActive Control1 Intervention
Participants in usual care will engage with VA healthcare using standard procedures of their facility.
