Study Summary
This trial evaluates how well tonation breathing techniques work to ease pain in patients with stage I-III breast cancer and currently take an aromatase inhibitor.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for women over 18 with stage I-III breast cancer who have finished surgery, chemo, and radiation at least a month ago. They must be taking aromatase inhibitors for over 30 days and have joint or muscle pain rated at least 5 on a Likert scale. Their physical functioning should be relatively good (ECOG score of 0-2). Those with serious lung diseases can't join.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing if tonation breathing techniques can help ease joint and/or muscle pain caused by aromatase inhibitors in patients with early-stage breast cancer. Participants will practice specific breathing patterns combined with sound creation to see if it reduces their pain.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since the intervention involves non-invasive breathing exercises, significant side effects are not expected. However, some participants might experience discomfort or fatigue from the exercises.
