Study Summary

This trial will test a new suicide prevention intervention called LifePlans. It will be given to patients who have been admitted to a psychiatric hospital for suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The trial will assess the feasibility and acceptability of the intervention.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 who are currently hospitalized for suicidal thoughts and behaviors, can speak and read English, and have a way to watch videos. People with cognitive impairments or current psychotic symptoms cannot participate.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing 'LifePlans,' a new video-based suicide prevention tool, against the usual treatment methods. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of these two groups and followed up with after 1 month and again at 6 months post-hospital discharge.See study design
