Study Summary

This trial will assess the effects of a remote physical activity intervention program on blood pressure after a pregnancy complicated by a hypertensive disorder.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for individuals less than 6 months postpartum who had a pregnancy complicated by high blood pressure disorders like pre-eclampsia. Participants should be doing less than 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week and must own a smartphone. It's not for those in other similar studies, advised against exercising by doctors, or with diabetes, kidney disease, heart issues, on weight reduction or anti-hypertensive meds, or with past bariatric surgery.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests a remote health coaching program designed to increase physical activity over four months in new mothers who had high blood pressure complications during pregnancy. The goal is to see if the program works well and if it's something people are happy to use while also checking its impact on their blood pressure levels.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this intervention promotes physical activity through health coaching rather than medication or medical procedures, side effects may include typical exercise-related discomforts such as muscle soreness or fatigue but will vary based on individual fitness levels.
