Methotrexate generally needs to be taken weekly and has a narrow safety range, so it is important to not take too much or too little. It is important not to take methotrexate daily.

Methotrexate Toxicity & Overdose RiskThe lowest toxic dose of leucovorin in rats has been found to be 135mg/kg and 146mg/kg in mice. Signs of overdose include a decrease in white blood cells, platelets, and red blood cells; mouth sores; nausea and vomiting; stomach ulcers; and bleeding from the digestive tract. In case of an overdose, patients should be treated with glucarpidase, and should not be given leucovorin for 2 hours before or after receiving glucarpidase.

I felt great the first week I took this drug and it improved my mobility. However, the second week I started feeling anxious, tired, dizzy, and my skin began peeling all over. This is the second time I've tried this medication and it has had the same side effects each time.

I have psoriatic arthritis and I haven't been treated with methotrexate, so this review might get deleted. But I would urge anyone with inflammatory arthritis to investigate food sensitivities and the "LEAP" protocol. It's helped me a lot.

I took this to treat my psoriasis, and it did clear up quickly. However, I stopped taking it because it gave me very loose stools. Fortunately, I've had great success with using essential oils instead.

I've been using this medication for approximately 4 weeks. My scalp psoriasis has cleared up by about 85%. I don't have the large flaking anymore, but I still have the itchiness.
