Effectiveness

How Danocrine Affects PatientsDanazol is a synthetic steroid based on testosterone. It was the first drug approved to treat endometriosis, but its use has been largely replaced by other medications. Danazol reduces the pituitary gland's production of hormones that control the reproductive system and has some androgenic properties.
How Danocrine works in the bodyDanazol works to reduce inflammation by suppressing the body's ovarian function. It does this by preventing the release of hormones from the pituitary gland, as well as blocking the body's ability to produce estrogen. It also lowers concentrations of certain antibodies and decreases ovarian production of estrogen. All of these effects work together to reduce inflammation and stop endometriosis, fibrocystic breast disease, and hereditary angioedema.

The measure of Danocrine is contingent upon the diagnosed affliction, including Thrombocytopenia, Endometriosis and Angioedemas, Hereditary. The amount of dosage differs, subject to the technique of delivery (e.g. Capsule or Oral) provided in the table underneath.

Danocrine for Endometriosis
Danocrine was great for me. It really helped with the pain I was experiencing. I stopped taking it because I'm post-menopausal, but if it weren't for that, I would still be taking it.

Danocrine for Prevention of Angioedema Attacks in Patient with Hereditary Angioedema
I haven't had a single attack since starting this medication 9 years ago. The side effects are manageable and, to me, worth it for the peace of mind of not having any attacks.

Danocrine for Endometriosis
My sister took this medication for six months to treat endometriosis when she was eighteen. She is now fifty-six and has developed ovarian cancer, as well as breast cancer in the intervening years. I believe that this medication may have contributed to her developing cancer, albeit many years later. Use caution if you are prescribed this medication.

What is danazol mechanism of action?

"Danazol suppresses the pituitary gland's output of gonadotropins, which in turn reduces hormone levels in the body. Danazol also has some androgenic properties, meaning it can promote male characteristics. The liver breaks down Danazol into two main metabolites: ethisterone and 17-hydroxymethylethisterone."
