Effectiveness

How Androgel Affects PatientsTestosterone helps to build and develop masculine sex organs and characteristics. Its effects last for different amounts of time for different people, with a half-life of 10-100 minutes. Testosterone levels in an adult male are typically between 300-1000ng/dL. It is important to inform patients about the risk of exposing children to testosterone topical products.
How Androgel works in the bodyThe androgen receptor is a protein that helps the body respond to androgens, like testosterone. It binds to androgens, then carries them into the nucleus of cells, where they can start to create changes. In men, testosterone helps create male sex organs, like the prostate and scrotum. It also causes secondary sexual characteristics like facial hair and body hair.

When to interrupt dosage

The recommended dosage of Androgel is contingent upon the diagnosed condition, including Gonadotrophin releasing hormone deficiency, Orchidectomy and Orchitis. Dosage is contingent upon the mode of administration outlined in the table below.

Androgel for Pituitary Hormone Deficiency
I'm 62 and have been on Androgel for 5 years. My physician originally decided to put me on this medication after testing revealed that I had low testosterone levels. Since then, my life has completely turned around! I have so much more energy now, my sex life is back, I can work out at a high level again, and my mind is clear and sharp.

Androgel for Deficiency of a Substance that Promotes Masculinization
I've lost 10 pounds since starting this medication, and my morning erections are much better than they were before. My sex life has also improved; I'm able to have more than two orgasms and ejaculations from a single encounter. The only downside is that the gel can be slightly messy.

Androgel for Deficiency of a Substance that Promotes Masculinization
I haven't really seen any benefits from this treatment.

Androgel for Deficient Activity of the Testis
I much prefer the injections to the gel form. The latter has never really done anything for me, even when I've used it for long periods of time (6-12 months).
