Effectiveness
How Akne-Mycin Affects Patients
Macrolides like erythromycin are antibiotics that stop bacterial growth by blocking their ability to make proteins. This drug is effective in treating a range of bacterial infections, however it is important to run tests to see if the bacteria is resistant before administering the antibiotic. Many strains of Haemophilus influenzae are resistant to erythromycin alone, but can be treated with a combination of erythromycin and sulfonamides. Staphylococci may also become resistant to erythromycin during treatment. Erythromycin may also cause diarrhea, liver problems, jaundice,
How Akne-Mycin works in the body
Erythromycin is an antibiotic that works by blocking bacteria from making proteins. It does this by attaching to the ribosomes, which are the parts of bacteria responsible for protein synthesis. This prevents the bacteria from growing and reproducing, leading to the control of various bacterial infections. Erythromycin is a type of macrolide, which has a strong affinity for bacterial ribosomes, making it effective against a wide range of bacteria.
When to interrupt dosage
