Treatment Summary

Isotretinoin is a vitamin A-based drug used to treat severe, long-lasting acne. It was previously sold under the brand name Accutane, but is no longer available. Because of the potential risks to a developing baby, isotretinoin is only available in the US through the iPLEDGE program. This medication was approved by the FDA in 1982.

How Amnesteem Affects Patients

The way isotretinoin works in the body is not yet fully understood.

How Amnesteem works in the body

Isotretinoin works by changing how cells grow, divide, survive and die. This helps reduce the amount of sebum, or oil, produced by the body and prevents blockages in pores that can lead to acne. Isotretinoin also causes sebaceous cells to die, while decreasing inflammation. It also changes the environment of the skin to make it less hospitable to acne-causing bacteria. Scientists are still investigating how isotretinoin works, but there is evidence that it may interact with a certain protein to explain some of its effects.

When to interrupt dosage

The prescribed measure of Amnesteem is contingent upon the acknowledged state, for example Acne conglobata, Acne Vulgaris and Pregnancy. The measure of dosage is subject to the technique of delivery (e.g. Capsule - Oral or Capsule) delineated in the table underneath.

Amnesteem for Severe Difficult to Treat Nodular Acne

I've been using this product for four months now and I'm thrilled with the results. My skin is clearing up beautifully, and I'm getting a lot of compliments on how great it looks. If you're considering this treatment, I would highly recommend it.

Amnesteem for Severe Difficult to Treat Nodular Acne

Unfortunately, this medication caused me a lot of irritation. My face and back were extremely red, and I also started bleeding from my rectum.

Amnesteem for Severe Difficult to Treat Nodular Acne

I've been using this treatment for 18 days now and have seen significant results. I'm not entirely happy with the dryness it's caused, but the redness of my skin is gone and I breakout much less frequently. Acne was a huge problem for me before trying this, to the point where I had tried everything else possible without success. This medication has really helped me out.

Amnesteem for Severe Difficult to Treat Nodular Acne

I had pretty severe dry skin before I started using this treatment, but it's been working great! The flakiness around my chin and nose has almost entirely stopped, and my lips are a lot less dry.

Amnesteem for Severe Difficult to Treat Nodular Acne

The medicine is effective, but the side effects are very intense. Ipledge also caused me to miss almost a month's worth of treatments, which was extremely frustrating.

Talimogene Laherparepvec + Nivolumab for Skin Cancer and Lymphoma

18+
All Sexes
Los Angeles, CA

This phase II trial studies how well talimogene laherparepvec and nivolumab work in treating patients with lymphomas that do not responded to treatment (refractory) or non-melanoma skin cancers that have spread to other places in the body (advanced) or do not responded to treatment. Biological therapies, such as talimogene laherparepvec, use substances made from living organisms that may stimulate or suppress the immune system in different ways and stop tumor cells from growing. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving talimogene laherparepvec and nivolumab may work better compared to usual treatments in treating patients with lymphomas or non-melanoma skin cancers.
