Effectiveness

How Vanos Affects PatientsFluocinonide is a strong anti-inflammatory steroid used to treat skin problems like eczema. It helps reduce symptoms such as itching, redness, dryness, flaking, swelling, and discomfort caused by the condition.
How Vanos works in the bodyFluocinonide is a steroid used to reduce inflammation. It works by binding to glucocorticoid receptors inside the cell, which causes genes to increase their expression and produce anti-inflammatory proteins. These proteins block the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, which are involved in inflammation. Fluocinonide also reduces the activity of the immune system, as well as decreasing the body's response to insulin, leading to increased glucose levels.

Vanos for Atopic Dermatitis
I was given a sample of Vanos by my dermatologist to use on a cold sore, in conjunction with Valtrex. I applied it as directed but now I realize that it is only meant for external use. Some of it definitely got into my mouth. I requested Zovirax from him, which I had used effectively for 15 years on mouth ulcers, but he said Vanos was the best option. However, after this experience, I will not be using Vanos again until I get more information.
