Effectiveness

How Propranolol Hydrochloride Affects PatientsPropranolol is a drug used to treat high blood pressure. It usually only needs to be taken once or twice a day. Suddenly stopping propranolol can cause chest pain and heart attack-like symptoms.
How Propranolol Hydrochloride works in the bodyPropranolol blocks beta-receptors, which are involved in blood vessel growth and constriction. Blocking these receptors can decrease the growth of new blood vessels, reduce the activity of a hormone system involved in blood pressure regulation, and induce apoptosis in certain types of cells.

When to interrupt dosage

The suggested measure of Propranolol Hydrochloride is contingent upon the recognized disorder, including Catecholamines, Hypertensive disease and Hemangiomas. The quantity of dosage deviates as per the mode of delivery (e.g. Solution - Oral or Capsule, extended release - Oral) mentioned in the table below.

Propranolol Hydrochloride Toxicity & Overdose RiskOverdosing on propranolol can lead to low blood pressure, seizures from low blood sugar, restlessness, and difficulty sleeping. Asthmatic individuals may experience bronchospasm. To treat an overdose, monitor vital signs, mental state, and blood sugar levels. Low blood pressure can be treated with intravenous fluids, bradycardia with atropine and isoproterenol, and bronchospasm with aminophylline. If these treatments are ineffective, glucagon should be given intravenously followed by catecholamines. Dialysis will not be effective as propranolol is strongly bound

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Anxious
This medication has been extremely helpful for me in managing my anxiety, bipolar disorder, and panic attacks. After being taken off of Xanax (which I had been taking for 20 years), the withdrawals were awful; but this medication has really helped to ease those symptoms and manage my overall mental health.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Migraine Prevention
I've only just started taking this medication, but it seems to be going well so far. I'm still experiencing some pain, but that could just be because it's the first day.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Anxious
This treatment was very effective at reducing my anxiety in the moment, but it did make me feel quite relaxed and slow. I wouldn't recommend it for long-term use, but it was excellent and very safe.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for High Blood Pressure
So far, I'm really pleased with this medication. It's helped lower my blood pressure and anxiety levels; however, I am feeling pretty tired most of the time. I'm hoping that side-effect will go away soon.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Migraine Prevention
I've been using this for a few months now and it's helped, but the side effects are really tough to deal with. I get dizzy spells, back pain, nausea, and chest pains with coughing fits. I'm hoping my doctor will let me stop taking it soon.

I've had this tremor since birth, and it's always been quite bad. The medication does help to some extent, but I think it might be time for an increase in dosage.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Essential Tremor
I've been on this mix of drugs for 30 years and it's helped a lot. I just think that, after all this time, there should be an alternative to upping the dosage every 10 years or so.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Essential Tremor
I've been taking the 45 mg dose once per day for a week now. I have experienced some nausea and dizziness, but nothing too severe. I'm wondering if these side effects will go away with time? If so, approximately how long will it take?

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Anxious
Unfortunately, this medication caused more problems than it solved. I experienced regular, severe stomach pains that made it difficult to even walk around. Do not recommend if you're looking for help with anxiety or rapid heart rates.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia
I have supraventricular tachycardia and unfortunately, this medicine has done nothing to reduce my palpitations. I started with a 2.5 mg dose, then 5 mg, then 10 mg, and now I'm up to 20 mg. Sadly, there has been no change.

Propranolol Hydrochloride for High Blood Pressure
I took this drug because I had issues with Lisinopril and an allergy to Amlodipine. Started using it 3 weeks after the allergy to Amlodipine. Only used for 6 days. Didn't see much difference in BP. Experienced nerve pain and a lump in my throat. Also got a red rash all over my body. Took myself off of the medication due to extreme dizziness.
