How Dalmane Affects Patients

Flurazepam is a type of medicine used to help people fall asleep. It helps reduce the amount of time it takes to fall asleep and the number of times you wake up during the night, resulting in a longer total sleep time. It does not appear to decrease dreaming time as measured by eye movements.

How Dalmane works in the body

Flurazepam works by attaching to GABA receptors in the brain and making them more sensitive to the effects of GABA. This increases the amount of chloride entering the cells, leading to a calming effect.

I've been using this for over two decades and it's the only way I can get a good night's sleep. I haven't had to increase the dosage, which is great. If I exercise more, then I need it less, which is also great.

I've tried a lot of different sleep medications, and this one is by far the best. The only downside is that I feel a little hungover in the morning, but I think that has more to do with other medication I'm taking than the dalmane itself.

Dalmane has been a life-saver for me. I work the night shift, so when it's time for me to sleep during the day, I can only manage 3-4 hours at most. However, after taking Dalmane, I'm able to sleep 6+ hours and wake up feeling great!

It took a few hours for me to start feeling sleepy after taking the medication, but it was well worth it. I woke up feeling rested and refreshed. The only downside is that there was a weird metal taste in my mouth when I woke up, but that's a small price to pay for a good night's sleep.

Insomnia had been a long-standing issue for me, so I've tried many different medications. Ambien led to some really strange behaviors like sleep-cooking and driving. Dalmane works better for me in that I don't have any hangover effects; however, sometimes I do wake up feeling pretty down. Not sure if it's the medication or not.

I find that dalmane is effective in helping me fall asleep, though I do still wake up occasionally throughout the night. One downside is that it gives me some wild dreams; however, I've come to prefer this over not being able to sleep at all.

I started with the 60 mg dosage and saw some benefits the first night. I slept for 8 hours, which is pretty good for me. However, the second night I only got 5 hours of sleep. I'm hoping tonight will be better. The taste is also really bitter and doesn't seem to go away.
