Effectiveness
How Previfem Affects Patients
Ethinylestradiol is a synthetic form of estrogen that helps stop ovulation and can reduce the growth of the lining of the uterus. This drug usually only needs to be taken once daily, and it is considered to be very safe even with an overdose. However, patients should be aware of the potential risks of developing blood clots while taking this drug.
How Previfem works in the body
Ethinylestradiol is a synthetic version of the female hormone estrogen. Taking ethinylestradiol can reduce bone density and stop ovulation. It does this by reducing the levels of hormones needed for ovulation, thickening the cervical mucus to block sperm, and stopping changes in the endometrium that are necessary for pregnancy. It also lowers luteinizing hormone and increases sex hormone binding globulin.
When to interrupt dosage
The suggested dosage of Previfem is contingent upon the diagnosed disorder, such as Acne Vulgaris, Hormonal Contraception and Folate supplementation therapy. The quantity of dosage is contingent upon the technique of delivery as detailed in the table below.
