Effectiveness

How Opcon-A Affects Patients

Naphazoline is a drug that can help reduce nasal or eye congestion by narrowing the blood vessels at the site of administration.

How Opcon-A works in the body

Naphazoline is a drug that decreases congestion by narrowing the blood vessels in the area it is applied. It does this by releasing a chemical called norepinephrine that binds to receptors in the blood vessels and causes them to constrict. It can also cause rebound widening after the initial narrowing, and can lead to rhinitis medicamentosa if used for too long.

When to interrupt dosage

The suggested amount of Opcon-A is contingent upon the determined affliction, such as Eye Pain, Sinusitis and tetracycline. The measure fluctuates in agreement with the delivery system (e.g. Solution / drops or Liquid - Ophthalmic) specified in the table beneath.

Opcon-A for Red Eyes

I have been using Opcon A eye drops daily for over 15 years without incident until recently. Recently, I experienced a torn retina and had to have emergency laser surgery to repair it.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

Although it may cause blurry vision for a few minutes, this is still an excellent product. It's very important not to rub your eyes, and these drops help with that immensely. I would highly recommend them to anyone dealing with allergies.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

These are my go-to allergy drops. They work like a charm to stop the redness and itchiness I experience at night due to allergies. My doctor suggested storing them in the fridge, which really does help intensify the soothing effect of the cold drops.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

Opcon-A was a great relief for my itchy, watery eyes. I would suggest cutting back on the number of drops used if you experience harsh side effects.

Opcon-A for Red Eyes

I've been using this product for about a year, and today I experienced something scary. My left pupil was very large, while my right pupil remained normal size. This gave me a headache, and made it difficult to see out of the dilated pupil. I went to the ER, but fortunately it fixed itself before long. However, I think the label should include a warning about this possible side-effect; it's not safe to drive after using these eye drops.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

Itching in my eye subsided after using this treatment and I plan on using it again in the future.

Opcon-A for Red Eyes

I've been using this product for about two decades now and it's always worked great--until recently. In the past year or so, my eyes have started becoming redder AFTER using the drops, and my pupils have started dilating. This has made wearing contacts difficult and uncomfortable. Did the recipe for the Drops change at all?

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

I woke up with severe itching in one eye and wasn't sure if it was an allergy or conjunctivitis. I used these drops and will see if the symptoms improve or worsen in the next day or so to determine if it is pink eye. So far, there has been no dilation problem.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

The active ingredient in this product quickly stopped the itchiness and redness in my eyes. However, I experienced very intense side effects that made my vision blurry for about twelve hours. Thankfully, this occurred on a day where I didn't have to work.

Opcon-A for Red Eyes

I experienced severe vertigo from this product. After I stopped using it for a while, the vertigo cleared up. I never would have thought that the two were related if I hadn't had such an instant reaction when I used the drops again after a month.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

Pupil dilation was very intense and long lasting after just one drop, to the point of causing blurred vision. Additionally, this didn't do anything to help my itchy eyes. Overall, not a great experience.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

Itchy, red left eye dilated pupil, therefore blurring vision within minutes of use. The other eye had no reaction. Shaky and nervousness after 20 minutes.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

These eye drops may stop the itch, but they cause an extreme dilation of the pupil in one eye. You essentially can't see anything out of that eye for a significant period of time, so I would recommend against using this medication unless you're planning on sitting in a dark room all day.

Opcon-A for Red Eyes

After just one drop, my eyes became very white. There was also a burning sensation and it helped with the itching. However, by the third drop my eyes became red, weepy, and sore. I needed to use steroid drops to clear it up; apparently the ophthalmologist said this was caused by the chemical in opcon a that causes redness.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

These eye drops caused my 13 year old son's eyes to turn yellow. We're hoping this clears up overnight, but if not we'll have to see the doctor. I wish the side effects had been more clear before we purchased this product.

Opcon-A for Eye Itching

The drops burn upon application, which is to be expected. However, they don't do much beyond that. If anything, they make the itch worse and dry out my eyes to the point of pain.

Opcon A did nothing to help my allergies and actually made my vision worse. Will never purchase again.

Digital Tools for Allergic Rhinitis

18 - 65
All Sexes
West Palm Beach, FL

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital tools in managing allergic rhinitis (AR) in primary care settings. AR is a common condition that affects many people's quality of life. The study will test whether digital tools, such as the QHSLab platform, can help patients better control their symptoms, improve adherence to treatment, and enhance overall well-being. The trial will compare two groups: one using standard care and the other using both standard care and digital tools. Participants will be monitored over 12 months, and the study will measure changes in symptom severity, treatment adherence, quality of life, and healthcare usage. The study will also gather feedback from patients and healthcare providers about their experience with the digital tools. The digital tools used in this study are designed to help patients manage their AR more effectively by providing regular symptom assessments, medication reminders, and personalized feedback based on their health data. This summary ensures the information is clear and straightforward for patients, families, and healthcare providers while maintaining compliance with IRB guidelines.
