Effectiveness

How Omniscan works in the bodyGadodiamide is used in MRI scans to help create images of the brain. It works by affecting the way protons react in a magnetic field. When placed in a magnetic field, gadodiamide speeds up the protons' reaction time and causes them to give off more energy. This makes it easier for MRIs to pick up the protons' signals, which are then used to create images of the brain. Gadodiamide does not cross the blood-brain barrier, so it only affects abnormal areas of the brain where the barrier has been disrupted. For example, it can be used to detect tumors, abscess
