Effectiveness

How Loestrin 24 Fe Affects PatientsNorethisterone is a pill taken orally that helps regulate hormones and can be used for birth control or to treat other hormone-related issues such as menopause symptoms and endometriosis. It works by altering the cervix and endometrium as well as halting the release of hormones in the pituitary gland, which affects ovulation. Taking norethisterone or other progestin-only pills can slightly increase the risk of breast cancer, so doctors advise patients to check for any developing lumps or masses through regular self-examinations.
How Loestrin 24 Fe works in the bodyNorethisterone works in the body to prevent pregnancy by blocking sperm from reaching an egg. It also prevents ovulation and stops the uterus from thickening. For menopausal women, it can be used as a form of hormone replacement therapy to protect against endometrial hyperplasia, which can lead to cancer. Norethisterone has a low affinity for other steroid receptors, such as the androgen receptor and glucocorticoid receptor, but is thought to cause some adverse effects like acne and changes in serum lipids.

Loestrin 24 Fe for Birth Control
I was on this medication for a year with no problems. The only side effect I noticed was that my breasts got slightly larger. I didn't get my period much at all, but that wasn't really a problem for me. Recently switched back after trying a different brand and I'm so happy to be back on it.

For 17 years, this pill allowed me to live a normal life free of the pain caused by my bicornuate uterus.

Loestrin 24 Fe for Disease of Ovaries with Cysts
I've now been using this birth control for four months. The first two were tough, but after that it's been great! I haven't experienced any side effects, my periods are shorter and have very little to no cramps. It's perfect for PCOS sufferers like me!

Loestrin 24 Fe for Abnormally Long or Heavy Periods
I've been on this pill for a few years now and only started having problems last year. I started gaining weight and no matter how much I exercised, I couldn't lose it. Additionally, my periods stopped which might be a good thing according to some people, but I think that's just the pill's way of "cleansing" your body. The mood swings are really bad; not just for yourself but also for the people around you. The fatigue is unbearable! And I'm not too sure if it hasn't caused gallbladder or liver issues as well. So if you can find another pill, I would recommend trying

Loestrin 24 Fe for Birth Control
Loestrin was easy to use, only had one instance of breakthrough bleeding, and lightened my periods. However, I didn't fully trust it because there's a small chance of pregnancy while using it. Additionally, taking it at the same time every day was slightly irritating. That said, it did help ease the pain from my endometriosis.

Loestrin 24 Fe for Endometriosis
I didn't have a good experience with this medication. I found myself feeling more depressed, tired, and irritable. My periods were shorter and lighter, but I would rather deal with the discomfort of my period than how this medication made me feel.

Loestrin 24 Fe for Birth Control
Unfortunately, this was the first birth control that made me gain a lot of weight and suffer from bad acne and migraines. I didn't have any of these issues before taking this brand of birth control.

Loestrin 24 Fe for Acne
Loestrin made my acne so much worse, to the point that it was the worst it had ever been. And on top of that, I experienced some really intense mood swings. Yasmin has been a much better fit for me.

Loestrin 24 Fe for Birth Control
I took this pill for almost a week and it gave me splitting headaches, nausea, and terrible mood swings. I felt bloated and exhausted the whole time. If you're thinking about taking this medication, be aware that it could have very different effects on your body than it did on mine.
