Effectiveness

How Altavera Affects PatientsLevonorgestrel is a contraceptive that helps to prevent pregnancy. If taken within 72 hours of intercourse, it is 89% effective. When administered in the form of an intrauterine device or implant, it is more than 99% effective. Additionally, it can be taken as part of a hormonal therapy to help reduce the risk of developing endometrial cancer caused by unopposed estrogen administration.
How Altavera works in the bodyLevonorgestrel is used in oral contraceptives to prevent ovulation. It stops the release of hormones from the hypothalamus which normally triggers an egg to be released from the ovaries. It also thickens the cervical mucus, making it difficult for sperm to reach the egg. Finally, it changes the endometrium, making it less likely for a fertilized egg to implant. Levonorgestrel is also used in combination with estrogen to reduce the risk of endometrial cancer.

Altavera for Abnormal Bleeding from the Uterus
I've been on this medicine for four years and it's really helped me. If you're experiencing breakthrough bleeding, it might be worth looking into a higher dosage or a different pill altogether.

Altavera for Painful Periods
So far, I've been really pleased with this acne medication. My skin has cleared up considerably within the first week, and there haven't been any weird side effects that I've noticed.

Altavera for Birth Control
Though this has successfully prevented pregnancy for me, I have experienced some bad side effects like increased crying, lower sex drive, and headaches. On the bright side, my period is very light and I haven't gained any weight (and might have even lost some).

Altavera for Disease of Ovaries with Cysts
This has been a life-changing medication for me. I originally started taking it for my ovarian cysts and painful periods, but it's helped with so much more. My periods are lighter now, and I barely have any pain or bloating during my cycle. Plus, no acne or weight gain!

Altavera for Birth Control
I took this for about seven months. At first, I didn't think it was doing anything different from my other birth control medication. However, a few months in I started getting really bad headaches. I was also throwing up every day and dealing with some serious mood swings and depression. Overall, not a great experience.

Altavera for Disease of Ovaries with Cysts
While this medication lightened my periods, it also made me feel worse in other ways. I gained a lot of weight and felt more depressed while taking it.

Altavera for Birth Control
I was disappointed that this brand of birth control didn't come with the weekly-labeling stickers. Additionally, I began seeing negative effects on my skin and hair health within days of starting to take this pill. My skin started breaking out and looked overall unhealthy, and my hair began thinning noticeably.
