Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

We've tried three different medications for our son over the past seven years, and this is by far the most effective.

Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

Our son has been taking this medication for just over a year and it has done wonders for his behavior. We highly recommend giving it a try, especially if other stimulants have failed as they did with our son.

Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

My 8-year-old used to have these terrible temper tantrums that would last for hours on end. They've completely disappeared since we started this treatment, but if we go even one day without it she goes back to being a total nightmare. I really think this stuff works wonders, and it's the only thing that we've tried that's been successful. The only downside is that she gets kind of sleepy at 5pm and sometimes in school, but that's a small price to pay for having a sane child again.

Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

My child was prescribed this medication for ADHD and ODD. So far, we've seen an improvement in her mood and behavior; however, she is still not sleeping through the night. We'll give it some more time to see if there are any further improvements.

Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

I'm not a medical professional, but I would be careful about taking this in combination with other drugs.

Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

We found this drug to be short-acting and not particularly effective. It also seems to cause some negative behaviors that we don't want our young kids exposed to.

It would be helpful to know if this medication can be broken in half, even though there is no score line. my son is taking the 1mg orally twice a day.

Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

My daughter has been on 1mg for two weeks now. The second night, she started complaining of burning eyes and paranoia. She's arguing with me that someone at the after school program was coming after her. This is supposed to be helping her ADHD???

Tenex for Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity

I'm 15 and I've been on this med for 2 days. It's made me have mood swings that I can't control, which is really frustrating. This is my first experience with this type of medication, and unfortunately it's not a good one. In my opinion, Concerta is a better option for ADHD.

Patient Q&A Section about tenex

These questions and answers are submitted by anonymous patients, and have not been verified by our internal team.

Is Tenex considered surgery?

"The Tenex procedure involves removing damaged scar tissue from tendons nonsurgically, helping patients who suffer from chronic tendon pain."

Answered by AI

Does Tenex really work?

"The most extensive study done on elbow tendons showed that patients reported a 100 percent satisfaction rate with the Tenex procedure."

Answered by AI

What does Tenex procedure do?

"The TENEX™ procedure is performed under ultrasound guidance and involves the percutaneous (through the skin) needle tenotomy (cutting of the tendon) of the damaged tendon. The goal of the procedure is to remove the damaged tissue and allow the tendon to heal. The procedure is minimally invasive, meaning that it does not require an incision (cut) in the skin."

Answered by AI

How does Tenex make you feel?

"Guanfacine affects the brain by decreasing the nerve signals that control the blood vessels and heart rate. This allows the blood vessels to relax and the heart to slow down, which in turn lowers blood pressure."
