Effectiveness

How Atralin Affects PatientsTretinoin is a form of vitamin A that helps to regulate how the cells in our body reproduce, multiply, and change. It is used to treat acne, wrinkles, and other skin conditions, as well as a type of cancer called acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
How Atralin works in the bodyTretinoin works by targeting certain receptors in your cells. These receptors are associated with the development of certain cancers and the effects of tretinoin on skin and bones. The main way tretinoin helps to treat acne is by changing how the skin cells behave. It helps to decrease the number of cells that stick together, allowing the skin to shed the extra cells and prevent the formation of microcomedos, which are the precursors of acne. Tretinoin also helps with a type of blood cancer called acute promyelocytic leukemia. It causes immature blood cells to mature, which can lead to complete

Atralin for Acne
This medication has been a godsend for my adult acne. In just two weeks of using it every night, my acne is almost completely gone!

Atralin for Acne
I had small cysts near my mouth, and sometimes on my cheeks. I'm 50 years old, so you can imagine my delight when not only did this treatment clear the bumps, but it also got rid of wrinkles and evened out my skin tone! I'll use it forever - just wish it were sold over the counter.

Atralin for Acne
I tried this gel on a recommendation, but it completely dried out the area around my mouth and nose. It looked like I had burned my skin. However, I was told this was normal so I tried it one more time. And it BURNED my skin now--to the point where it looks like I have a busted lip.

Atralin for Acne
Atralin was a complete lifesaver for my acne. It took a few weeks for the full effects to be visible, and the initial period where my skin was red and itchy was tough to get through. But it was so worth it in the end, and I would highly recommend this medication to anyone struggling with acne.

Atralin for Acne
This treatment is amazing for acne! It cleared up my skin within a week and it's been smoother than ever since. It can be a bit drying, but as long as you use a face oil on top (like the doctor recommended), it doesn't affect the drug's effectiveness.

Atralin for Acne
Initially, my skin felt terrible after using this product. There was a bad breakout on my chin area. However, after a few weeks my skin started to feel smoother and the acne gradually calmed down. I've been using the treatment for 12 weeks now and my skin has cleared up significantly; though there is some stinging and drying side effects.

Atralin for Acne
I use this acne treatment about two to three times a week, as necessary. It's very effective at making blemishes disappear and my skin looks so much healthier overall.

Atralin for Acne
I've only been using this product for a little over a week, but I'm already in love. My previous medication made my breakouts worse, but this one has cleared up my skin completely. Not to mention, it also seems to be working on fine wrinkles! So far the only downside is that it makes my skin dry and peel, which is a small price to pay for how well it works.

Atralin for Acne
Yes, your face will dry out when you first start using it. However, this only lasts for a few days and then goes away. For most people, pimples will be gone within a week to two weeks.

Atralin for Acne
This gel has been great for reducing the redness and size of my pores. I have very sensitive skin, but this medication didn't cause any problems. The downside is that it can make your skin flake a bit, but a good moisturizer takes care of that. And at $260 per tube, it's not cheap! Luckily my HMO covers it.

Atralin for Acne
I've been using this medication for a couple of months now with zero improvement in my acne. If anything, it's gotten worse. I have used other treatments in the past that took some time to work but eventually did show signs of improvement; Benzaclin was one such treatment that was actually effective.

Atralin for Acne
Atralin unfortunately made my acne worse. I had moderate acne to begin with, but after using this product my skin condition has deteriorated significantly. It's now difficult for me to even look in the mirror, and my skin is permanently irritated. If you're considering this treatment, be aware of the risks involved.

TargetCool + Benev Exosomes for Alopecia

18 - 70
All Sexes
New York, NY
This clinical trial is testing a new approach to help improve hair thinning using a combination of cosmetic treatments. The purpose of the study is to learn whether applying exosomes to the scalp, along with microneedling and a precision cooling device called TargetCool™. This study aims to determine whether this combination approach offers synergistic benefits for individuals with hair thinning. Exosomes are tiny particles that come from stem cells and contain growth factors and other nutrients. They are being studied for their potential to help regenerate skin and hair. TargetCool™ is an FDA-cleared device that uses precision cooling to reduce inflammation and improve comfort. Microneedling is a common, minimally invasive procedure that uses small needles to stimulate the skin and help absorb topical products more effectively. The study will include healthy men (ages 18 to 70) and women (ages approximately 45 to 70) who are not of childbearing potential. A total of 9 to 15 participants will be randomly placed into one of three groups: Group 1: Exosomes with TargetCool™ Group 2: Microneedling followed by exosomes and TargetCool™ Group 3: Microneedling followed by exosomes only Participants will receive four treatments over 9 weeks. Each visit may include microneedling, TargetCool™ treatment, and exosome application depending on group assignment. A small tattoo will be placed on the scalp to help capture consistent photographs, and a special imaging system (Canfield HairMetrix®) will be used to measure hair changes. Participants will return for follow-up visits at 3 and 6 months after the final treatment. The results will help determine whether this combination of cosmetic treatments is safe and beneficial for people experiencing hair thinning.

Isotretinoin vs Tetracycline for Acne

Any Age
All Sexes
Charleston, SC
In the effort to find better treatments for Moderate Acne, which often relies on long-term antibiotic use, researchers are exploring alternative options. While Isotretinoin, a Vitamin A derivative, is highly effective for severe acne, its side effects limit its use for milder cases. A recent study from our institution investigated a new approach: weekly Isotretinoin dosing. The results were promising, with acne improvement and no major side effects. This suggests that weekly Isotretinoin could be a successful alternative for moderate acne in both males and females. To validate these findings, investigators propose a randomized controlled trial comparing weekly Isotretinoin to daily Doxycycline over four months. This study could confirm the safety and effectiveness of weekly Isotretinoin, as well as shed light on patient satisfaction, and long-term results compared to standard antibiotics. This research may offer a breakthrough in treating moderate acne while addressing concerns about antibiotic overuse.
