What is Duac

Benzoyl peroxideThe Generic name of this drug
Treatment SummaryBenzoyl peroxide is a medication used in topical treatments for acne. It can be found in products with one active ingredient or in combination with other acne-fighting ingredients such as erythromycin, clindamycin, or adapalene. When applied to the skin, benzoyl peroxide breaks down and releases oxygen molecules that interact with proteins. This helps reduce the production of keratin and sebum around follicles and increase cell turnover. The FDA approved benzoyl peroxide in combination with erythromycin in 1984.

Effectiveness

How Duac Affects PatientsBenzoyl peroxide is a medicine used to treat acne. It works by creating free radicals which help to break down pimples and speed up the growth of new skin cells. It wears off quickly, so overdoses are rare. However, it can cause skin irritation, dryness and sunburn, so patients should be aware of these possible side effects.
How Duac works in the bodyAcne is caused by inflammation around the skin's oil glands, hormone levels, and bacteria. Benzoyl peroxide helps clear acne by breaking down the bacteria that cause it, decreasing oil and keratin around skin follicles, and increasing the rate at which skin cells turn over. This helps to break down comedones, which are whiteheads and blackheads associated with acne.

When to interrupt dosage

The measure of Duac is contingent upon the diagnosed complaint, including Inflammatory Acne Vulgaris, Acne and Acne. The amount of dosage can be found in the table below, contingent upon the mode of delivery (e.g. Solution or Kit - Topical).

Duac for Acne
My daughter's acne was getting out of control, so we decided to go the prescription route. Duac + Differin cleared up her skin within just a few weeks and she's been using it successfully for over a year now.

Duac for Acne
I'm an Indian woman in my early twenties. When I first moved to the States, I had a lot of acne. My doctor prescribed me Duac and Differin, which I used for one month. After using both products religiously, my face was finally clear!

Duac for Acne
Duac was a total lifesaver for me. My acne got really bad about a year ago, to the point where I was too embarrassed to leave my house. But after just two months of using this treatment, my skin completely cleared up! I still get the odd pimple here and there, but it's nothing compared to what it used to be. If you're struggling with acne, I would highly recommend giving duac a try.

Despite the burning sensation and itchiness I felt at first, this product has yielded amazing results in just two weeks.

Duac for Acne
This product is amazing. I'm 56 years old and had been using Accutane to clear up my cystic acne (which trust me, really hurts). This product completely cleared up my acne and has prevented others from starting. You need to make sure to use a very thin layer--if you use too much you really can have dry skin. My skin looks wonderful now and this is so much cheaper than trying to have an Rx for Retin-A ($220+).

I've only been using this product for a week, and I can already see a significant difference in my skin quality. I'm much more confident about going makeup-free now.

Duac for Acne
I've been using this for a while and it works great on my acne. If I stop using it, the acne comes back, but not as bad. So, I just keep using it. Not everyone likes that you have to keep using it to see results, but I would still recommend it.

Duac for Acne
My skin looked great the first week after starting this treatment. However, I started experiencing some uncomfortable side effects like stomach aches and nausea. Additionally, my acne is starting to come back and it doesn't help with red spots. This medication will dry out your face, so be sure to use a good non-oily lotion.

Duac for Acne
Unfortunately, this product had terrible side effects for me. My skin became incredibly dry and itchy, to the point where I was constantly scratching and flaking. And once I stopped using the medicine, I broke out in hives that were really embarrassing because they were on my face.

I've been using Duac for five years now, and it's helped somewhat but my acne is still very much a problem. It's also dried out my skin something fierce.

Duac for Acne
At first, duac helped my acne clear up a lot. But after using it for two years straight, I stopped for a week and all the progress I made disappeared. Not only that, but my skin became thin and dehydrated. Now I'm seeing a cosmetician on a regular basis and my skin is improving.

DO NOT USE THIS CREAM! I tried it last night for some breakouts and woke up with my face burning, red, and itching. It's so bad that I had to miss school today. A tiny bit of this cream went a long way... in the worst possible way.

I don't understand why anyone would spend so much money on this when you can get the same thing for way less.
