What is Benzaclin

Benzoyl peroxideThe Generic name of this drug
Treatment SummaryClindamycin is an antibiotic used to treat serious infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It can also be used topically to treat acne. Clindamycin has a limited range of action and can kill certain anaerobic bacteria, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and some protozoans, such as toxoplasmosis, malaria, and babesiosis. Clindamycin was derived from lincomycin and it is more effective than its predecessor. The name lincomycin comes from Lincoln, Nebraska, where it was first found in a soil sample.

Effectiveness

How Benzaclin Affects PatientsClindamycin is an antibiotic used to fight bacteria and is usually taken every 6 hours. It can cause serious problems for patients, such as _Clostridium difficile_ associated diarrhea (CDAD) which can last for 2 months after the antibiotic is stopped. It is effective against many types of bacteria, both aerobes and anaerobes. Resistance to clindamycin is possible and can develop from changes in the 23S ribosomal RNA. Cross-resistance can also occur with other antibiotics, like lincomycin and erythromycin. When using clindamycin, it
How Benzaclin works in the bodyClindamycin stops bacteria from being able to make proteins. It does this by attaching to the ribosomes of the bacteria and preventing them from forming correctly. This leads to bacteria not being able to make the proteins they need to survive. The exact way that clindamycin treats acne is unknown, but it is thought to be linked to its activity against Propionibacterium acnes, a bacteria that is related to acne.

When to interrupt dosage

The proposed dose of Benzaclin is contingent upon the diagnosed condition, including viridans group streptococci, Vaginal Infections and Surgical Intervention. The amount of dosage likewise fluctuates as indicated by the technique of administration (e.g. Cream - Vaginal or Suspension - Topical) featured in the table beneath.

Benzaclin Reviews: What are patients saying about Benzaclin?

Benzaclin for Acne
This product has been amazing at treating my adult acne. I started getting acne as an adult about a year ago and could not find anything that would effectively treat it. It also became painful so I decided to go to the dermatologist. He prescribed Benzaclin and I found relief within two days (my acne was almost completely gone). I have been using it for three months and my skin is now clear.

Benzaclin for Acne
I've been using this for two months and it's done wonders for my skin! The first time I used it, I had a bit of an allergic reaction. But the next day my skin was fine, and it hasn't happened since. Now my skin is clear, oil-free, and radiant.

Benzaclin for Acne
I started using this when I was 30 years old and it's been great for my skin. In the two years that I've used it, my complexion has never looked better. The only downside is that it can be drying, so I make sure to use a light moisturizer during the day to combat that.

Benzaclin for Acne
Benzaclin is, by far, the best product I've ever used on my skin. It's kept my acne at a very low minimum for years now, with hardly any pimples, redness or bumps.

The generic Benzaclin has the same side effects as listed on this site--itching, burning. It hurts and is annoying but I am confident it will be worth it in the end.

This treatment has been amazing for my skin. I'm 17 years old and have been using it for almost two years now. I still get the occasional breakout, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

I have been having stomach issues recently and I'm hoping it's not from this medication. The side effects seem to indicate that it could be, so be careful if you decide to use this treatment.

Benzaclin for Acne
I've been using Benzaclin for a little over a week now. I haven't seen any specific difference, but I have developed three large and painful cysts on my face. Not ideal, to say the least. Hopefully with more time this will improve, but as of right now I'm pretty disappointed.

Benzaclin for Acne
I've been using the generic form of Benzaclin on my face and back for acne. I had a lot of trouble finding it, and after almost a month of use I haven't seen any improvement. On top of that, it's ruined several shirts and sheets despite allowing it to dry before putting on a shirt.

Answered by AI

Does BenzaClin fade acne scars?

"Within three days, I saw a reduction in the number of raised pimples on my face. My skin still had some red spots or scars from the pimples, but within a few more days, even the flat scars were gone. My skin looks flawless again. If you're struggling with pimples, I strongly recommend using Benzaclin. It also works well if you use the proactive face wash while using Benzaclin as a topical treatment."

Is BenzaClin good for acne?

"BenzaClin gel kills acne-causing bacteria. Like all acne medications, it takes time to work and you may notice your acne getting worse a few weeks after starting treatment. This initial reaction is expected, so don't stop using the medication."

All Sexes
Montreal, Canada
The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine (called PF-07905428) for the potential treatment of acne vulgaris. This study is seeking participants who: * Are male or female between the ages of 18 and 40 * Are generally healthy * Are diagnosed with moderate to severe acne vulgaris (Cohort 4 only) The study medicine will be applied every day on the participant's face and/or back for 14 days (Cohorts 1 and 2) or for 28 days (Cohort 3 and 4). The investigators will compare the experiences of people receiving the study medicine to those of the people who do not. This will help the investigators determine if the study medicine is safe and effective. Participants will take part in this study for approximately 2 months. During this time, they will have 17 study visits (Cohorts 1 and 2) or 31 study visits (Cohorts 3 and 4) at the study clinic. Isotretinoin vs Tetracycline for Acne

In the effort to find better treatments for Moderate Acne, which often relies on long-term antibiotic use, researchers are exploring alternative options. While Isotretinoin, a Vitamin A derivative, is highly effective for severe acne, its side effects limit its use for milder cases. A recent study from our institution investigated a new approach: weekly Isotretinoin dosing. The results were promising, with acne improvement and no major side effects. This suggests that weekly Isotretinoin could be a successful alternative for moderate acne in both males and females. To validate these findings, investigators propose a randomized controlled trial comparing weekly Isotretinoin to daily Doxycycline over four months. This study could confirm the safety and effectiveness of weekly Isotretinoin, as well as shed light on patient satisfaction, and long-term results compared to standard antibiotics. This research may offer a breakthrough in treating moderate acne while addressing concerns about antibiotic overuse.

Clascoterone Cream for Acne

Any Age
All Sexes
Stanford, CA
Mechanism-based acne treatment for transgender patients receiving testosterone currently does not exist and is an unmet medical need. This study explores clascoterone to treat testosterone induced acne. Many treatments we use to treat acne in females cannot be used in transgender males because they interfere with hormone therapy. Androgens have been associated with the development of acne vulgaris. Recently, a topical androgen receptor inhibitor cream (clascoterone) has been FDA-approved for the treatment of acne. However, clinical trials of clascoterone have excluded participants on exogenous hormones. Clascoterone has been hypothesized to be effective in the treatment of acne in transgender male participants on masculinizing hormone therapy, but it has never been studied or reported in the literature.
