Effectiveness

How Veltin Affects PatientsTretinoin is a form of vitamin A that helps regulate the growth, reproduction, and difference of skin cells. It is used to treat acne and damage due to the sun, as well as certain skin conditions such as ichthyosis and keratosis follicularis. Tretinoin is also a type of drug used to treat acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
How Veltin works in the bodyTretinoin works to reduce acne by targeting the retinoic acid receptors in the body. These receptors are responsible for the development of certain types of cancer, as well as for retinoid effects on mucous membranes and bones. Tretinoin's exact mechanism of action is unknown, but it seems to work by increasing the shedding of skin cells from the follicle, thereby reducing the buildup of comedones. In addition, it increases the mitotic activity of follicular epithelia, which helps to speed up cell turnover. Tretinoin is also used to treat acute promyelocytic leukemia, but it

Veltin for Acne
I accidentally put the gel on my lips and it dried them out terribly. Make sure you follow the instructions! Other than that, this has been working well for me in terms of reducing acne.

Veltin for Acne
I've been using Veltin for about six weeks and I'm really happy with the results. My skin is much clearer and softer, and my complexion is more even. I use it every night after washing my face; first I apply Cervae pm, then dot my forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose with the Veltin before rubbing it in. The only downside is that I now have a few whiteheads where I never did before, but the cystic acne is gone completely!

Veltin for Acne
I have tried this product before and it is very effective at clearing acne. However, it is quite expensive. I haven't been able to purchase it recently and my acne has come back as a result. If anyone knows of a way to buy it online for a cheaper price, please let me know!

Veltin for Acne
I was patient in waiting for this medication to show results, and it paid off. My acne has all but disappeared and I couldn't be happier. Sure, there are a few side effects like peeling skin and a red face, but it's worth it not to have acne.

Veltin for Acne
This medication is very effective but also causes a lot of peeling and burning, especially when eating. I've only been using it for nine days, but my face looks so much better already. It's worth the temporary discomfort to see such results.

Veltin for Acne
I've been using Veltin for about three months now, and I'm very pleased with the results. It took a little while for my skin to adjust to the gel (the side effects were pretty bad at first), but it was worth it in the end. I'm still using gut medicine along with the gel, and I plan on doing so until my skin is completely clear. I don't have any problems with side effects now, but they were definitely an issue when I first started using the product. If you're thinking about trying this treatment, just be persistent and don't give up--your skin will eventually clear up.

The price of this product is really expensive. GSK is taking advantage of patients;-( I'm looking for a compouding pharmacy to make something similar.

Veltin for Acne
Though this treatment may eventually work, it really irritates the skin in the meantime. I suggest finding an alternative if you can't wait for results.

Veltin for Acne
At first, this seemed like an okay medication with no adverse effects. However, after a few days I started to notice that my skin was getting dryer and more painful. By the fourth day, I could barely move my lips and had to get help from a nurse.

Veltin for Acne
I would not recommend this medication to anyone. It's expensive and did nothing but cause me more problems than I started with. After just four weeks of use, my face was burning and covered in blotches.

TargetCool + Benev Exosomes for Alopecia

18 - 70
All Sexes
New York, NY
This clinical trial is testing a new approach to help improve hair thinning using a combination of cosmetic treatments. The purpose of the study is to learn whether applying exosomes to the scalp, along with microneedling and a precision cooling device called TargetCool™. This study aims to determine whether this combination approach offers synergistic benefits for individuals with hair thinning. Exosomes are tiny particles that come from stem cells and contain growth factors and other nutrients. They are being studied for their potential to help regenerate skin and hair. TargetCool™ is an FDA-cleared device that uses precision cooling to reduce inflammation and improve comfort. Microneedling is a common, minimally invasive procedure that uses small needles to stimulate the skin and help absorb topical products more effectively. The study will include healthy men (ages 18 to 70) and women (ages approximately 45 to 70) who are not of childbearing potential. A total of 9 to 15 participants will be randomly placed into one of three groups: Group 1: Exosomes with TargetCool™ Group 2: Microneedling followed by exosomes and TargetCool™ Group 3: Microneedling followed by exosomes only Participants will receive four treatments over 9 weeks. Each visit may include microneedling, TargetCool™ treatment, and exosome application depending on group assignment. A small tattoo will be placed on the scalp to help capture consistent photographs, and a special imaging system (Canfield HairMetrix®) will be used to measure hair changes. Participants will return for follow-up visits at 3 and 6 months after the final treatment. The results will help determine whether this combination of cosmetic treatments is safe and beneficial for people experiencing hair thinning.

Isotretinoin vs Tetracycline for Acne

Any Age
All Sexes
Charleston, SC
In the effort to find better treatments for Moderate Acne, which often relies on long-term antibiotic use, researchers are exploring alternative options. While Isotretinoin, a Vitamin A derivative, is highly effective for severe acne, its side effects limit its use for milder cases. A recent study from our institution investigated a new approach: weekly Isotretinoin dosing. The results were promising, with acne improvement and no major side effects. This suggests that weekly Isotretinoin could be a successful alternative for moderate acne in both males and females. To validate these findings, investigators propose a randomized controlled trial comparing weekly Isotretinoin to daily Doxycycline over four months. This study could confirm the safety and effectiveness of weekly Isotretinoin, as well as shed light on patient satisfaction, and long-term results compared to standard antibiotics. This research may offer a breakthrough in treating moderate acne while addressing concerns about antibiotic overuse.
