Effectiveness

How Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 Affects PatientsNorethisterone is a medication taken orally that is used for birth control or to treat hormone-related issues like menopause and endometriosis. This "synthetic progestin" acts like the hormone progesterone, but is much stronger. It works by changing the function of the cervix and uterus, as well as blocking hormones in the brain that are involved in the maturation of eggs. Although it can help reduce the risk of pregnancy, it can also slightly increase the risk of breast cancer. Patients should be aware of this risk and regularly do breast self-examinations to check for any developing
How Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 works in the bodyNorethisterone works by binding to progesterone receptors in various cells in the body. This binding triggers changes that make it harder for sperm to reach the egg, as well as making it difficult for the egg to implant in the uterus. It also works to lower the release of specific hormones that are necessary for ovulation and fertility. In menopausal women, norethisterone is used to protect against endometrial hyperplasia, which can increase the risk of endometrial cancer. It has a low affinity for other hormone receptors, but it is believed to cause some adverse effects, like acne and changes in serum

Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for Birth Control
I've been using this medication for a while now, and it's been great. The only downside is that my periods are heavier when I'm taking the placebo pills. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to do.

Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for Painful Periods
I tried this birth control for one cycle, and I did not continue taking it because it made me incredibly moody and depressed. My boobs did grow a little bit while I was taking the pill, but I didn't notice any weight gain, which is a plus. Overall, I did NOT like it, and my depression symptoms went away only two days after stopping the pill.

We'll be changing my daughter's birth control immediately. She's been on this for six months and it's caused some serious mood swings; she either can't get out of bed because she's so sad, or she's angry all the time.

Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for Painful Periods
I have been on this pill for a year and a half, and it has given me some nasty side effects. These include mood swings, breakthrough bleeding, headaches, slight weight gain, and depression. I can't wait to find another form of birth control that doesn't make me feel so awful.

Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for Painful Periods
Since being put on this birth control, my skin has been terrible. Pimples all over, dryness, redness, and new breakouts in places I've never had them before. I've tried other birth controls with no issues in the past, so it's definitely this one that's the problem.

I would not recommend this pill to anyone. It's made me really sad, I've been breaking out more, and eating more even though I don't feel hungry. Plus, I've been spotting a lot and feeling really tired all day long. This pill makes you feel insane.

I was on this pill for almost six months and experienced worsening anxiety and depression around the week before my period.
