How Evamist Affects PatientsEstradiol is used to reduce hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and pain during sex. It can also help improve bone density and lower cholesterol levels in the blood. The hormone also increases levels of proteins such as sex hormone binding globulin and thyroid-binding globulin, and it suppresses the formation of follicle-stimulating hormone. However, estradiol use should be avoided for those at risk of cardiovascular disease, deep vein thrombosis, and stroke as it can cause an increased risk of these conditions. It also triggers a hyper-coagulable state and can raise blood pressure by causing sodium
How Evamist works in the bodyEstrogen is a hormone found in many parts of the body, including the breast, uterus, ovaries, skin, prostate, bone, fat, and brain. In women, most estrogen is produced by the ovaries before menopause. After menopause, most estrogen comes from the adrenal glands. Estrogen binds to receptors in the body and triggers changes in the body that can cause symptoms like hot flashes, chills, vaginal dryness, mood swings, irregular menstruation, and sleep problems. Estrogen works by binding two types of receptor: estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) and estrogen receptor beta (ERβ).

Evamist Toxicity & Overdose RiskThe highest safe dose of estradiol in rats after 90 days was 0.003mg/kg/day. The highest toxic dose for women was 21mg/kg/21D and the toxic dose for rats was 960mg/kg. An overdose on estradiol may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, breast tenderness, blood clots, and vaginal bleeding. It is recommended to stop taking estradiol and get supportive care if an overdose occurs.

11/22/2011 I started taking evamist because my migraine symptoms were getting worse and I wondered if stabilizing my hormonal levels would help. It did! Not only that, but it also relieved a number of menopause symptoms I had been ignoring. For example, yay for having a libido again! The process is very easy to use; however, the only drawback is I am never sure if I am getting the exact same dose each day depending on how hard I press the pump or how I position it.
