What is Delatestryl

Testosterone enanthateThe Generic name of this drug
Treatment SummaryTestosterone enanthate is an injectable medication used to treat low testosterone levels. It was first approved in 1953, and since then millions of prescriptions have been filled for testosterone therapy each year. The majority of these prescriptions are for injectable and topical testosterone products. In 2018, the US FDA approved Antares Pharma Inc.'s Xyosted, a subcutaneous testosterone enanthate product that can be self-administered at home with a single dose, disposable autoinjector. This new formulation eliminates the need for frequent clinic visits, making it more convenient for patients.

Effectiveness

How Delatestryl Affects PatientsTaking testosterone enanthate will cause a dramatic increase in testosterone levels in the body, reaching up to 400% of the normal level within 24 hours of taking the drug. These levels will stay high for 3-5 days after the initial dose. Over time, testosterone enanthate can lead to decreased levels of dihydrotestosterone, PSA, HDL, and FSH, and a slight increase in estradiol. These changes can last up to two weeks after the drug is stopped. There are no known effects on mood or sexual activity due to the presence of testosterone enanthate.
How Delatestryl works in the bodyTestosterone is a hormone found in humans and other vertebrates. It works by attaching to receptors in cells, then either directly or indirectly activating them. It also can be changed into a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is more powerful than testosterone and has a 2.5 times stronger effect. Testosterone is responsible for the growth and development of male sex organs, as well as secondary sexual characteristics like facial, chest, and pubic hair. Low levels of testosterone are caused by either defects in the gonads or not enough hormones being released from the hypothalamus.

I had more energy the next day after using this, which was great. The only issue I had was not knowing how to properly inject it; as a result, I think some of the hormone went to waste.
