What is Suprenza

PhentermineThe Generic name of this drug
Treatment SummaryPhentermine is an appetite suppressant drug used for short-term weight management. It was first approved by the FDA in 1959 and is related to amphetamines, although it has a low risk of addiction. Phentermine was initially available as part of a combination drug with fenfluramine and dexfenfluramine, but the combination was discontinued due to reports of abnormal valves in nearly 30% of users. Phentermine is currently available alone or in combination with topiramate, which requires lower doses to achieve the desired effect.

Effectiveness

How Suprenza Affects PatientsPhentermine works by suppressing appetite and increasing your metabolism, which helps you lose weight. People using phentermine in clinical studies lost an average of 3.6 kilograms in 2-24 weeks, and were also able to maintain their weight after treatment ended. Phentermine is related to amphetamines, but it does not have the same stimulating effects on your central nervous system, or cause an increase in blood pressure, tolerance, or QTc prolongation.
How Suprenza works in the bodyPhentermine is a medication that works to reduce hunger. It does this by releasing a chemical called noradrenaline in the brain. This chemical activates the body's "fight or flight" response, which cuts down on the hunger signals. Phentermine also blocks another chemical called neuropeptide Y, which is involved in the feeling of hunger. Finally, it is a weak inhibitor of monoamine oxidase, which has a minor effect on hunger levels.

Suprenza Reviews: What are patients saying about Suprenza?

Suprenza for Adjunct Treatment of Obesity in a Comprehensive Weight Reduction Regimen
I've been taking this for about a month now, and it's helped me lose 15 pounds. I'm 38 years old with four kids and a demanding job, so this has really helped me take control of my portion sizes and make sure that I'm eating healthy food. The taste is terrible, but I've found that if I let it melt in my mouth instead of swallowing it whole, it works better.

Suprenza for Adjunct Treatment of Obesity in a Comprehensive Weight Reduction Regimen
I've been on Suprenza 30 for 5 weeks and have consistently lost weight each week. So far, I'm down 15lbs total. The only side effect I've noticed is reduced urinary flow, but it's not bad enough for me to stop taking the medication.
