Effectiveness

How Solifenacin Succinate Affects PatientsSolifenacin is a medication used to treat an overactive bladder. It works by blocking certain receptors in the bladder. It is normally taken once per day and may have long-lasting effects. Patients should be aware of the risk of potentially serious allergic reactions like angioedema and anaphylaxis when taking solifenacin.
How Solifenacin Succinate works in the bodySolifenacin is a drug that blocks the receptors in the bladder that cause muscle contractions. It works by stopping 80% of the receptors from sending signals to the detrusor muscle and 20% from sending signals to the smooth muscle. This prevents the muscles from contracting, reducing bladder discomfort.

Solifenacin Succinate Reviews: What are patients saying about Solifenacin Succinate?

Solifenacin Succinate for Needing to Urinate Immediately
I had been taking detrusitol, but it wasn't helping my OAB at all. My urologist suggested an oxybutinin patch, which I tried for a month, but I was still having urgent problems (dashing to the toilet, sometimes every hour or less). Then my GP prescribed solifenacin succinate and there was an immediate improvement. I can now last 3-4 hours, which has dramatically improved my quality of life. This is after only 2 weeks and hopefully it will only get better from here.

Solifenacin Succinate for Overactive Bladder
I've been taking this medication for two months and, unfortunately, have started to experience some negative side effects. These include headaches, blurry vision, constipation, and difficulty urinating. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow to discuss whether or not I should continue taking this medication.
