How Men'S Rogaine Affects Patients

Minoxidil is a drug that can both be taken orally to reduce high blood pressure, and can be applied topically to treat hair loss. It works by widening the arteries and decreasing the amount of resistance in the blood vessels. It also improves blood flow in animals and humans, while maintaining kidney function. The majority of its effects are seen in the arteries, rather than veins, which helps to prevent sudden drops in blood pressure. The active ingredient in minoxidil is minoxidil sulfate.

How Men'S Rogaine works in the body

Minoxidil is believed to help hair cells stay alive by turning on two different pathways in the cells and increasing the ratio of a protective protein to one that causes cell death. It also widens the blood vessels, which may help hair cells or follicles stay healthy.

Men'S Rogaine for Hair Loss

I've been using this for two months and have seen some hair growth, but not as much as I'd hoped. Additionally, I've been experiencing dizziness/vertigo, so I'm not sure how long I'll continue use.

I haven't seen a huge difference in terms of new hair growth, but it has definitely slowed down the rate at which my hair is falling out.

Men'S Rogaine for Hair Loss

I've been using the generic form of Rogaine (Minidoxil 5% Extra Strength made by Kirkland) for a month now, and I can already see new hair growth at my vertex. I used it twice daily (80% regularly) and used less than the recommended dose. So far, no negative side effects!

Men'S Rogaine for Hair Loss

Rogaine Extra Strength has way too many side effects. I tried it for two years and saw no results, only skin irritation, blisters, and chest pain. Fortalex PT works much better and without any of the horrible side effects.

Men'S Rogaine for Hair Loss

I bought the men's Rogaine because it was five percent less expensive, but I'm now reading that it shouldn't be used on women. Can somebody please explain why this is?
