Effectiveness

How Estazolam Affects PatientsEstazolam is a type of medicine with sedative, muscle relaxant, and anticonvulsant effects. It is taken by mouth and can be more powerful than other drugs like diazepam or nitrazepam.
How Estazolam works in the bodyBenzodiazepines work by attaching to benzodiazepine receptors, which helps the body relax, reduce seizure activity, maintain motor coordination, and improve memory. This action is thought to be connected to GABA receptors, which cause cells to become more resistant to excitation by allowing chloride ions to enter the cells. This helps reduce further stimulation of the cells.

Estazolam for Chronic Trouble Sleeping
I have to take this medication in order to sleep, which concerns me. I often wake up feeling foggy and my vision is blurry. It takes me hours to motivate myself. I've tried getting off of the medication but without success; I just can't seem to fall asleep.

Estazolam for Severe Trouble Sleeping
Works great! I have bizarre dreams while on this medication, but some of them are actually pretty entertaining. No nightmares, so it doesn't really bother me.

Estazolam for Chronic Trouble Sleeping
I find that a low dose of this treatment (1 mg) is all I need to fall asleep. Additionally, I appreciate that I don't feel sedated or groggy the next day like I have with other alternatives.

It is deemed a Schedule 1 drug in some states because it can be found online and on the street as a recreational drug."
