"Cervidil is a medication that is used to soften the cervix. It is not typically used to induce labor, but some women may experience cramping or mild contractions while it is working."
Does Cervidil induction hurt?

"CERVIDIL is a medication used to help prepare the cervix for labor. It is typically given as a single dose, and in clinical trials it was successful in ripening the cervix in the majority of patients. Success was defined as either an increase in the Bishop score at 12 hours, vaginal delivery within 12 hours, or a Bishop score of ≥6 at 12 hours."
