What is Buprenorphine Hydrochloride
NaloxoneThe Generic name of this drug
Treatment SummaryNaloxone is a medication used to reverse the effects of opioid drugs and prevent overdoses. It works by blocking opioid receptors in the brain and stopping opioid drugs from having an effect. Naloxone is commonly known under the brand name Narcan and is available as an injection, nasal spray, or IV infusion. Naloxone is also combined with buprenorphine in the product Suboxone, used to treat opioid addiction. It is very safe to use and has few side effects, but can cause withdrawal symptoms if given to someone taking opioid drugs. Naloxone can be used to save someone’s

Effectiveness
How Buprenorphine Hydrochloride Affects PatientsNaloxone is used to quickly reverse the effects of opioid overdoses. It does not last as long as opioids, so multiple doses may be necessary. Naloxone will not have any effect if no opioids have been taken by the patient. Those given naloxone might experience opioid withdrawal. Additionally, the overdose may not be completely reversed if other drugs are involved.
How Buprenorphine Hydrochloride works in the bodyNaloxone is a drug that prevents opioids from binding to the body's opioid receptors. It works to reverse the effects of opioids in people who have taken them, but has no effect on those who have not.

Buprenorphine Hydrochloride Reviews: What are patients saying about Buprenorphine Hydrochloride?
5Patient Review
6/4/2018 Buprenorphine completely changed my life for the better. I had been struggling with painkiller addiction for years, and this medication allowed me to get my life back on track. I highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with a similar problem.
5Patient Review
3/28/2021 This medication has completely changed my life for the better. I was taking hydrocodone, gabapentin, and oxycodone for nerve pain, but this treatment is much more effective with no withdrawals.
5Patient Review
7/4/2022 I've been on Buprenorphine for two months now, and it's by far the best pain medication I've ever tried. Before, my pain would only last for 4 hours before coming back, but now I'm getting 6-8 hours of relief. It's definitely changed my life for the better and I would encourage anyone in chronic pain to give it a try!
5Patient Review
1/28/2020 This medication saved my life. I went off of it for a short period and in time, I was back to narcotics. I ran back to my doctor and asked him to prescribe it again. I plan on being on this until I die. My mood is so much better, even though it doesnâ??t advertise as a mood enhancer.
5Patient Review
9/6/2019 I was a little bit out of it after taking this medication, but it did help with my overall pain.
4Patient Review
2/1/2019 I used this for several years to get off opioids, which I was addicted to. This helped with my chronic back pain. However, a new doctor switched me to methadone, which works MUCH better. Been on methadone for 5 years now and although it is addictive, it too helps with pain and although it can be abused, you learn not to.
3.7Patient Review
6/15/2022 I am only getting minimal relief from this medication, even though I am following the instructions to dissolve it under my tongue.
3.3Patient Review
6/17/2021 I was on opioids for 10 years, and had no issues getting off of them. I changed my pain doctor, but he is too conservative for me. This pill is not effective for me, and maybe a stronger dose would be better. I'm going to give it a week but at this point, I do not recommend this treatment.
2Patient Review
3/10/2020 This was worse than kicking my morphine habit and the withdrawal lasted for weeks.
1.3Patient Review
4/24/2021 This medication failed me not once, but twice in two different years. I was only able to get it a third time because of a change in hospital policy that left patients like me who have been relying on opioids for chronic pain for 19 years out to dry. There is zero relief for people in my position.
1.3Patient Review
9/12/2019 Hard to obtain if you don't have insurance.
