How Anusol Hc Affects Patients

Hydrocortisone works by attaching to certain receptors in the body to stop inflammation and reduce pain. It is a relatively safe drug and works for a moderate amount of time. If irritation or sensitivity occur, people should stop taking the medication.

How Anusol Hc works in the body

Corticosteroids reduce inflammation by reducing blood vessel dilation and blocking white blood cells from rushing to the site of the issue. This is done by binding to a glucocorticoid receptor, causing changes in gene expression. Low doses reduce inflammation, while high doses suppress the immune system. High doses of glucocorticoids also block a mineralocorticoid receptor, which raises sodium levels and lowers potassium levels.

When to interrupt dosage

The advised dosage of Anusol Hc is contingent on the diagnosed issue, such as Ophthalmia, Sympathetic, Drug Allergy and Sarcoidosis. The amount of dosage is contingent upon the technique of administration (e.g. Topical or Auricular (otic)) outlined in the table beneath.

Vancomycin for Ulcerative Colitis

This clinical trial tests if oral vancomycin can safely treat active ulcerative colitis (UC) in adults who also have primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), a liver condition. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Can oral vancomycin improve UC symptoms as measured by Mayo score at 4 weeks? * Is oral vancomycin safe and tolerable in this patient group? Participants will be compared to see if vancomycin works better than placebo. Participants will: * Take oral vancomycin (250 mg twice daily) or identical placebo capsules for 4 weeks * Have the option for 4 more weeks of open-label vancomycin after the blinded phase * Attend clinic visits at baseline, week 4, and follow-up for Mayo scoring, endoscopy, blood/stool tests, and safety checks * Track treatment adherence and side effects The study primarily assesses if the trial can recruit 14 participants, retain them, achieve good adherence, and follow protocol procedures (feasibility). Secondary goals include safety (adverse events) and early signs of benefit in UC activity, liver tests, and gut bacteria balance. This pilot will guide larger future studies.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn whether microbiome analysis, education, and personalized recommendations can improve gut health and reduce early markers of immune-related conditions in infants aged 0-3 months delivered via Cesarean section. The study aims to determine whether these interventions can increase beneficial bacteria, decrease C-section-associated microbiome signatures, reduce opportunistic pathogens, and improve functional potential for HMO digestion and SCFA production. The study also seeks to assess whether improvements in microbiome composition are associated with a reduced prevalence of early atopic symptoms. Researchers will compare three groups: a full intervention arm that receives microbiome reports, coaching, personalized recommendations, and educational materials; a limited intervention arm that receives simplified reports and basic recommendations; and a control arm that receives no results until study completion. This design allows evaluation of both a comprehensive intervention and a more scalable, minimal-results model. Participants will: 1. Provide six microbiome stool samples over a 24-month period. 2. Provide additional small stool samples at two timepoints for exploratory metabolomic analysis. 3. Receive microbiome reports and guidance according to their assigned study arm. 4. Complete surveys on infant health history, symptoms, diet, and environmental exposures. 5. Participate in standardized eczema assessment(s) administered by a Nurse Practitioner and evaluated by a Pediatric Allergy Specialist if any symptoms are reported. This study seeks to demonstrate that targeted microbiome support can positively shift gut microbial development in C-section infants and may reduce risks linked to the early stages of the atopic march. Findings may inform scalable strategies for delivering microbiome-based support in early life and improve long-term health outcomes for this high-risk population.

Children with Crohn's disease (CD), a type of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), often face serious health challenges, including poor growth, frequent hospital stays, and long-term medication use. Although biologic drugs like infliximab, an anti-TNFα (Tumor necrosis factor α) medication, have improved treatment, they don't work for everyone: many children still experience symptoms or disease flare-ups. Nutritional therapies, especially the Crohn's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED), may help improve treatment outcomes. This study will assess whether starting CDED at the same time as infliximab leads to better responses to treatment. The goal of this study is to improve how well children respond to therapy, reduce drug exposure, and support better long-term health.

Ustekinumab for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate whether disease remission can be maintained when biologic therapy is reduced in patients with Crohn"s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) taking ustekinumab (UST). The main question it aims to answer is: Can we de-escalate UST subcutaneous dose either from every 4 weeks (Q4) to every 8 weeks (Q8) or every 8 weeks (Q8) to every 12 weeks (Q12) in CD or UC patients in deep remission without loosing their response? Researchers will follow UST blood levels, inflammation markers and intestinal mucosa integrity and to see if UST dose can be reduced while maintaining clinical remission. Participants will: Change UST dosing from Q4 to Q8 or from Q8 to Q12. Visit the clinic once every 12 weeks for checkups and tests.
