How Moviprep Affects Patients
Potassium is an essential mineral found in your body's cells that helps keep you healthy. It helps with nerve signals, muscle movement, and kidney function. You normally get enough potassium in your diet, but when you lose it too quickly (from taking diuretics, having diabetes, or having severe diarrhea), you can become weak and tired and may have abnormal heart rhythms. If you need extra potassium, you can eat foods high in potassium or take supplements. Depending on your condition, you may need to take a different type of potassium supplement.

Moviprep Toxicity & Overdose Risk
Taking too much potassium, either orally or intravenously, can lead to dangerous levels of potassium in the blood, called hyperkalemia. Hyperkalemia usually doesn't have any symptoms, but it can be detected through a blood test, which would show elevated potassium levels. It can also cause changes in the electrical activity of the heart, such as high T-waves, lack of P-waves, and prolonged QT interval. Very high levels of potassium can cause muscle paralysis and even cardiac arrest.
