Effectiveness

How Ismo Affects PatientsVismodegib blocks a specific protein (SMO) that is involved in the Hedgehog signalling pathway. This stops the pathway from working properly.
How Ismo works in the bodyVismodegib works by targeting a protein called Smoothened homologue (SMO). This protein is involved in a process called the Hedgehog pathway, which helps control the growth and division of skin cells. By blocking SMO, Vismodegib prevents the Hedgehog pathway from working properly, which can help reduce the uncontrolled growth of skin cells.

Ismo for Angina Pectoris Prevention
I've been using Ismo for almost two decades with good results. I experienced angina in 2005 and had to get two stents, but other than that I haven't had any issues.

Ismo for prevention of anginal chest pain associated with coronary artery disease
I was prescribed this medication by my cardiologist a few months ago, and slowly after starting to take it I started having breathing problems and got a really bad rash on my arms, face, and stomach. It was almost like chickenpox! I had to take antihistamines and prednisone to try and alleviate the symptoms but nothing really worked. So I stopped taking the medication 5 days ago and I can finally breathe again. For me, this was a killer drug.
