Erythromycin Estolate Toxicity & Overdose RiskThe lowest toxic dose of erythromycin for rats has been found to be 9272 mg/kg. Overdosing on erythromycin can cause diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. If an overdose occurs, the drug should be stopped and any unabsorbed drug should be eliminated quickly. Additionally, supportive measures should be taken and dialysis is not effective in removing erythromycin.

3/13/2012 This medication has done wonders for my acne keloidalis nuchae. It's cleared up most of the area and prevented infection from spreading. However, it comes with some not-so-fun side effects like diarrhea, nausea, and increased appetite.

9/27/2010 I've been taking this for three days now and the stomach cramping has been unbearable, even when I eat. The pills are also way too big to swallow comfortably. Additionally, I have felt nauseous since starting this medication. Overall, I am not pleased with the choice of medications my doctor has prescribed.
